Getting Ready for No Name-Calling Week and Educating our Aides!
Today our Student Council leaders helped Canyon Charter get ready to observe No Name-Calling Week by designing and creating the school banner that will hang in our quad area. All of our students will be participating! Please check it out next week – I’m so proud of our student body!
A big thank you to parent Beth Preminger who led a very informative and critical session for our instructional aides. Beth helped us to know how to spot and respond to a student having an allergy attack at school. Canyon will be establishing a “Nut-Free Zone” in our cafeteria area next week. This zone will be available to all children who are eating nut-free lunches but most importantly it will be a safe haven for those whose health is jeopardized by foods that contain nuts. We’ll talk more about this new zone at next week’s Governing Board meeting. Please join us on Thursday, January 26th in room 9 at 1:55pm
